We run an appointment system for all doctors, nurses and healthcare assistants.
Appointments can be made online, in person, or by telephone.
You need to say which doctor you want to see when booking an appointment.
Please note, you may have to wait longer for an appointment as the doctors do not work everyday.
We work very hard to ensure that patients see the most appropriate member of the team for their needs.
There are other members in the team who can help.
Please note: An appointment with a doctor is not always necessary.
Appointments with doctors for existing or long standing problems
Ring after 13:30 to book routine appointments as the telephones lines are less busy at this time.
These are for patients with an ongoing problem and should be booked in advance.
It is always better to see the same doctor with an ongoing problem.
You can book a routine appointment up to one month in advance.
If you have a new health issue on that day you need to ring as soon as possible for an appointment.
There are limited appointments available for only URGENT issues.
These appointments are not for ongoing problems they are for new illnesses.
You may be offered either a telephone consultation or an appointment.
The on duty doctor may ring you back to give you advice.
Did Not Attend/Cancellation
If you cannot attend your appointments for any reason please inform reception 24 hours in advance so we can offer the appointment to another patient.
The practice has a policy for patients who do not attend their appointments without letting us know beforehand.
If you do not attend an appointment, this is logged as a DNA (Did not attend).
If you DNA on 3 occasions or more we could decide to no longer treat you at this practice.
