Training practice

GP Training

We are a Training practice. We are a GP training practice and regularly have trainee doctors working with us. They are fully qualified doctors training to be family doctors and work with us for 6-12 months. Our Trainer is Dr Robert Amedzro.

Undergraduate Medical Students

We also teach Medical Students who work with us for three weeks at a time.

Video Recording

The receptionist will inform you on the occasions when a surgery is being jointly run (either by GP + GP Specialist Trainee or GP + Medical Student (s), or when a surgery is being video-recorded for training purposes. Recordings will not be undertaken without the consent of the patient. No physical examinations are recorded and the camera will be switched off immediately on request. The practice would like to thank all those patients who help us with the continuing education of future GPs.

GP net earnings

All GP practices are required to declare the mean earnings (average pay) for GPs working to deliver NHS services to patients at each practice.

The average pay for GPs working in Horton Park Medical Practice in the last financial year was £69,330 before tax and National Insurance. This is for 8 part time GPs who worked in the practice for more than six months.
