Patient Participation Group

Want to make a difference? Why not join our Patient Group?

What is a Patient Group?  The aim of a group is to get patients involved with the practice in a positive way and to help the practice provide services that patients want.  A group helps the practice understand patients needs from a patient perspective and therefore helps the practice with decision making.  This is two way process and also a forum for patients to get information about the practice to help them understand how general practice is organised.

When will it start?  This has been running for a number of years now

Who is involved from the practice?  The whole primary healthcare team is involved in different ways, usually this will be with Angela Worobel, Practice Manager, and various other members of the team, e.g. GP’s, Practice Nurses, Receptionists etc.

Who else is involved?  The practice works in partnership with Bradford Teaching District Clinical Commissioning Group (BDCCG) and different representatives may be invited to make presentations to patients or make requests to use this forum for consultation purposes when re-designing services. BDCCG is responsible for local health services. Also the practice is now part of Bradford South Network which will shape future services

What is discussed at the meetings?  The agenda is driven by particular topics that the practice or BDCCG want o bring to the attention of patients.  Patients also contribute to the by raising anything they wish.  Usually items that can be discussed are: appointments, telephone access, new services coming on line, alterations to premises and services, practice leaflet.

When will the meetings be?  The meetings are held quarterly and dates of meetings are advertised on the practice website

Do I have to attend each meeting?  No you do not have to attend each meeting.  Once we know that you would like to become involved you can decide for yourself exactly how much you would like to become involved.  If you would just like to receive the minutes of the meetings then you can pass on your contact details.

Meetings and Minutes

We would like to welcome all our patients to our Patient Meetings

Our Patient Meetings are usually every quarter and we text all registered patients a week before the meeting inviting them to attend the meeting but also inviting them to put forward anything that they would like to discuss

Meetings are in the evenings staring at 6.30pm
